The Pulse of the Earth at Palacio Libertad

On Wednesday, May 7th, The Pulse of the Earth (El pulso de la tierra) was inaugurated in the immersive room of Palacio Libertad, featuring a live performance by the artist. The Pulse of the Earth is an audiovisual installation that aims to restore our connection with the planet through a sensory and interactive experience, combining real-time video mapping, music generated through live coding, and the active participation of the audience.

With over 4.5 billion years of existence, the Earth pulses with a history that predates that of humanity. Within this vast timeline, the presence of the human species is merely a fleeting moment. Contemplating the Earth’s pulse invites us to understand our planet as a living organism—a first step toward reconciliation with the world. In this way, The Pulse of the Earth not only seeks to captivate us with the visual and sonic power of its immersive environment, but also to raise awareness about the vitality, fragility, and urgency of our present.

The installation can be visited every wednesday in may, from 2pm to 6pm at Palacio Libertad (Sarmiento 151, CABA)
