FR/AGILE is a piece of Performance Art developed by Joaquín Fargas and Ellen Pearlman. It explores the delicate social and global processes unfolding in the first quarter of the 21st century, shaped by this new era of artificial intelligence. Who is pulling the strings to define what it means to be human? Where are we headed, and what are we becoming? As the proliferation of AI data centers fuels a planet already on fire and billionaires build escape routes into outer space, what agency—if any—do we have in this process? A performative installation on speculative futures, employing robotics, biometrics, AI, and audience interaction, raises these questions without offering easy answers or quick fixes.
FR/AGILE is still a work in progress. It’s first installment took place on August 2026 in La Tomada, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the context of the PAR Art Residency Program.
